"Red Flower". Level Design Blockout. The final work of the Outblock course from XYZ School.

Study work was completed as part of the XYZ Outblock course.
The level is called “ Red Flower.”
The Red Flower is the red poppy flower. The red poppy flower has a very definite symbolism - according to established tradition, it is a symbol of soldiers who died in war, in World War I in particular.
The action begins in the present day. The locale is somewhere in France.
The Protagonist (a flower deliveryman) wanders around the vicinity while waiting for a customer. He makes his way to an abandoned water mill. While exploring it, he comes upon a balcony that collapses beneath him. From the impact he loses consciousness. The main part of the game begins.
In a sleep he travels back in time to the year 1918. The Protagonist finds himself at the site of the fall on the shoal below the mill. On the other side of the river he sees a dying French soldier. He tells that he went across the front line to his mother and brings her a gift of poppies. The soldier asks the Protagonist to take the flower and names the landmark: a red brick building on the square near the church.
After passing all the tests the Protagonist finds the red house, but it turns out that the soldier's mother is dead. The player hears a bell ring announcing the end of the war. He puts the flower on her grave in the courtyard of the house, after which an explosion sounds and Protagonist wakes up under the mill.
The level design gives the player the opportunity to go through the game in both stealth and kombat mode.
In this level there are references to such movies as “Paths of Glory”, “1917”, “ All Quiet On The Western Front” (1930, 1979, 2022), “War Horse”, “Stosstrupp 1917”, “The Passing Bells”, “Joyeux Noël” and some others.
